We give good care by treating people with dignity and as individuals with rights. We also encourage and facilitate regular visits and engagement with family and friends.
Persons with dementia are supported by our trained staff who help with short-term memory challenge among others.
Meet some of our residents
Mrs T was born in Tottenham, North London. According to her daughter Jan, she worked
at a shoe shop from 14 until her retirement at 65. She likes strawberry jam or mashed
banana with sugar sandwiches, without crusts. Like many of our residents, Mrs T
experiences memory loss at times, and lives with dementia. These cause frustration and
anxiety that our staff are trained to address.
Mr T, past 90, suffers from Dementia. He hails from Petersfield in Hampshire and was a policeman.
He loves gardening and the countryside and is an avid reader of the daily news and a keen Chess player.
When his son and daughter-in-law felt they could no longer offer Mr T the constant care he needed,
they wanted him cared for within convenient reach for regular visits. After visiting several local homes,
they felt that Littledene House offered the requisite 'home from home' atmosphere.
